Who we are

AshuTrust is a legal-technology platform that provides access to, and coordinates, intellectual property and corporate registration assistance in India through independent, separately qualified professionals.AshuTrust is not a law firm registered with any Bar Council and is not itself an advocate; see our Terms of Service for the full description of what the platform is and is not. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and to carry out the work you engage us for.

• Contact details — your name, phone number and email address, submitted through our enquiry forms or given to us directly.
• Matter information — the brand name, invention description, business details or documents you share so we can advise on and prepare your filing.
• Identity and statutory documents — PAN, Aadhaar, incorporation certificates, Udyam registration and similar documents, where these are required by the relevant government authority to make a filing on your behalf.
• Technical information — basic, non-identifying data about how our website is used, such as pages visited and approximate region, used to improve the site.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and provide the consultation you requested.
• To prepare, file and prosecute applications with the relevant registry or government authority.
• To communicate with you about the status of your matter, including deadlines and required actions.
• To issue invoices and maintain accounting records as required by law.
• To comply with legal, regulatory and statutory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your matter information to send unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

We share your information only where necessary to do the work or where the law requires it:

• Government authorities — the Trade Marks Registry, Indian Patent Office, Copyright Office, Registrar of Companies and similar bodies, as part of making your filing. Information filed with these authorities generally becomes part of a public record.
• Service providers — certifying authorities issuing digital signature certificates, payment processors, and secure hosting and email providers, each acting under confidentiality obligations.
• Associated professionals — where your matter requires specialist input, such as a technical expert for a patent specification, engaged under confidentiality.
• Legal requirement — where disclosure is required by law, court order or a regulatory authority.

Confidentiality of matter information

Information you share about an unfiled invention, an unlaunched brand or a commercial strategy is treated as confidential. For patent matters in particular, we understand that premature disclosure can destroy novelty, and we are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share technical detail.

How long we keep it

We retain matter files for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as necessary to advise you on renewals, deadlines and related rights, and to meet statutory record-keeping obligations. Enquiry details from prospects who do not engage us are deleted within twelve months on request.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission, access controls and secure storage. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of client information seriously.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

• Confirm what personal information we hold about you and provide a copy.
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete information we no longer need to retain for legal or professional reasons.
• Stop sending you any non-essential communications.

To exercise any of these, email info@ashutrust.com. We will respond within a reasonable period. Note that information already filed with a government authority forms part of a public record and cannot be withdrawn by us.

Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function correctly and, where enabled, basic analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site's content.
